
The mission of Cubicle Yoga is to bring the benefits of yoga into the workplace to help prevent and reduce stress. Most health problems, including emotional, come from stress. This program will teach individuals alternative, healthy ways to manage their stress at work through yoga poses and breathing techniques. Nowadays, people are rushing to get from A to B, skipping lunch or breaks and working so may extra hours they start to suffer from burn- out. With Cubicle Yoga, you don't have to leave work! Instead of skipping lunch, get away from your desk for an hour to release tense muscles, breath, relax and rejunvenate. -Return to work refreshed and renewed; -Approach a problem with a calm mind; -Look away from your computer and give your eyes and brain a rest The Teacher/Owner: Liz Filippone, RYT She has been practicing yoga for eight years and completed a 500 hour teacher training at the Iyengar Yoga Institute of San Francisco. She is also a registered yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance. She currently teaches at California Pacific Medical Center at lunchtime and evening classes in San Francisco, Daly City and San Bruno. Liz has worked for many health care organizations doing administrative and customer service. The benefits from yoga have helped her handle stress and muscle tension from working in an office environment, especially at a desk requiring a lot of phone use. Liz is also a movement artist and performs with a performance movement-based group in San Francisco. She has 20 years of dance and movement experience. (Read more about Liz) RATES AND SERVICES: Group sessions: 6 classes for $90 per student Private and Duet sessions: rates available upon request Classes are offered in the morning, during lunch hour and/or early evening (after work) and last 45 minutes to an hour. Liz supplies the yoga equipment--mats, yoga straps, blocks, blankets. These classes are gentle and open to all levels. Beginners welcome! Preregistration is required. Interested, but not sure?
